Carpet ? 6pc or 1pc

I want to put carpet into my 97TJ just for winter. I have seen 2 types of the carpets 6 piece and 1 piece carpets.

To place the 1pc I have to remove the seats. To place the 6pc carpet I can probably cut the carpet around the seats.

I 'am looking for recomendation from anyone who did the carpet replacement.

Thank You!

6 piece is my vote. the factory carpet is 6 piece for ease of taking it out and putting it back in.

I vote for spray in bed liner but since that wasn't your question I would also go with 6 piece for the reason above

Go 6. If it needs cleaning up its easier to deal with.

I vote 0 piece or spray in liner (or do it yourself liner) all carpet does is leave a place for water to sit and start rust, and it allows mold spores to grow and stink up your jeep

I have the bedliner lined up for Feb 2006, till then I need something to covet the bare metal... I live in Calgary and it drops to -30C in winter. I have already experienced one winter without the carpet... NO FUN!!!

By the way? Bedliner Spray or Roll ? I can either...

Spray on if you can afford it. It will be more durable and thicker.

I vote for line-x as well. I can't wait to hop in myJeep this winter with snow/salt covered boots and not worry about screwing up the carpet on my new vehicle.

Would it kill you to grasp a basic concept of the English language? A bit of grammar and punctuation goes a long way. People like you make me want to stab my eyes out. I hope for our nations sake that you speak better than you type.

Go to line-x's shop... I think it's along Ogden Road somewhere. Best option available. If you want to do it yourself, princess auto has a sale on roll on liner that works ok once in a while.

I love the Spray-In liner method but I would think the floor would get considerably hot in the summer.

I have the 6-piece molded kit from Nifty and it fits very nicely. You will have to cut in the areas around the seat mounts in order to easily remove the carpet for cleaning or whatever. The rear fender wells need special attention by trimming to get it to sit as nice as if the factory put it in. The factory carpeting is expensive and hardly worth the money when I priced it a few months ago. I would suggest a nice used set instead if you want factory. I got my Nifty 6-piece carpeting from SummitRacing for $160. Very pleased.
