Can't find my rim size...

Hi guys...

My TJ is running P225/75/15 Goodyears, and as far as the charts (although incomplete) I've read on many tire manu's websites...I think my rims are 8"s which would mean I could probably throw 32" tires on them...I think. That's as big as I want to go...for now.

Does anybody have any way to refernce the rim size without taking the tires off? Owners manual, and all the paperwork I got with my TJ doesn't show me what I've got becauise everything is for the TJ Sport, and my TJ is this newer TJ Apex Special Edition model that has the 225's instead of the 215s on chromed steel wheels instead of the aluminum ones. Daimler Chrysler publishing also tolds me the FSM will be specific to the generic TJ, so certain stuyff on mine probably won't be documented in it...but all the mechanical stuff should/will be the same. God, I hope so...

Thanks!

btw: here she is...er...my fiancee as well!

Cheers!

I think the Canyon's are the only stock 8" rim, but I could be comepletly wrong, you could always measure with a ruler

Rob, those are 15x7's. I personally wouldn't go any wider than 10.50's on the factory 7's, but 32x11.50's are possible. You will have rubbing issues up front during turns and you'll have to keep a vigilant eye on the air pressure to make sure they don't wear funky. If you have 32's in mind, I'd look at upgrading to an 8" wheel. HTH

Thanks . They're AR767's(mine have 4.75" backspacing, but they're also available in 4"). I'm sure there's a place up your way to get them, but mine cost a hair less than $40 stateside . They're cheap, so if you destroy one, a replacement is only gonna cost two cases of beer .
