A/C Fan Dial

I have a 1999 wrangler TJ and the fan dial for the A/C Panel has a short I believe. I can only get it to blow on the first setting. I am able to get it to blow on the second by slowly rotating it past the second point until it turns on.

Does anyone know where I can obtain a replacement part? I don't even want to know what the dealer would want for it.

This is a common problem for the Jeep. You probably have a defective blower motor switch. Same thing happened to mine. The terminals melt due to excessive heat and poor design/wiring by Chrysler.

I ordered the part on-line through one of the Chrysler dealers. They have prices all over the board since each charge what they choose to. I paid about $12 for the switch and about $9 for shipping.

Thanks guys! Good to know.. hopefully they improved the part that I order!

Edit: I ended up ordering one for 19.99... with shipping and tax (I guess they are in my state) it came to 27.00.... not as cheap as you had mentioned but.. if this is what is wrong it will be worth it!
