Bypass clutch sensor
My friend has a 97 TJ and was wondering how to bypass the clutch sensor. I heard you ad a fuse but Im not really sure where and he doesn't have the original owners manual. Just wondering how to do it??????

Newer model TJs only require you install a fuse to bypass the clutch interlock but the '97 requires you move an electrical connector located above the driver's side footwell. My '97 owners manual is partially destroyed by having gotten wet a few times or I'd post a copy of that page. Anyone else have that page they can scan and post? You really need that page, that particular procedure can't be easily described.

I just by passed mine (I think?) as I am doing an AW4 swap into a 97 TJ. I dont have the magical fuse #20 for the easy bypass. In looking at the wiring diagram on ALLDATA.com - I determined the way the switch works is to close a circuit when the clutch is pressed. Simple fix - I pulled the connector off the clutch arm, cut the wires, before the switch - twisted them together. Seems to work.
