busted tailight question

I managed to smack my rear driver's side tailight off in a stupid way. (dont ask), on my 1999 TJ. I found a driver's side replacement from on 05 RUbicon.
Do those match and is the wiring the same? I just wasn't sure if Jeep had changed the wiring connectors or anything between 99 and 05. Thanks ahead!

I'm not 100% but I doubt they have changed at all (maybe colors...). Even if the wire colors are different it wouldn't be hard to figure out. Also, you could buy some flush mount round lights and have a good excuse to put some of those on . Oh- how did you do it??

its the same as a trailer light or say the light u would find on the back of a dump truck for example
