Bushwacker flares

I just bought a set of used 6" Bushwacker pocket flares. Or at least, they are supposed to be Bushwacker brand.
Is there anyway to tell if they actually are Bushwacker and not a cheap immitation? They came with stainless bolts, some rubber spacers, and no instructions that might indicate what brand they are.
I have looked at pictures in the catalogs but it's hard to compare. They seem really thin and flimsy compared to the stock flares.

I wish bushwacker would make a better built flare. I really like the look of them over the warns and bestops.

They do look good and will serve the purpose of covering my tires. Maybe they won't seem so flimsy when they are mounted!
I just wanted to make sure I got what I paid for.

I prefer no flare, myself, but I digress.

For you Bushwacker people: Couldn't you reinforce them somehow? Like fill the inside with epoxy or something? I've not seen a pair firsthand, so I can't comment... but it seems like you should be able to do something to strengthen them.

mine are undercoated on the inside, which seems to 'protect' them a little better, at least from flying rocks... oh, and I've never hit anything with them, and that seems to help, too.

it seems (from all the input) that if you plan to hit or run into anything with them, then Warn flares will hold up better, but if your using them as tire coverage, (by golly) they (bushwhackers) just may hold up ok.

Got my set for Christmas from the hubby and I love them. Had seen them on another Jeep and liked the way they looked, I also have Bushwacker flares on my Suburban.

actually durable

I was crawlin in some rocks the other day and dropped down right against them. When I head the noise I thought that they were done for sure, I had heard all the same things about how weak they are. Mine however, flexed on the rock and came right back with very little scratching. I'm stivking with Bushwacker even if it means buying another set once I do break em'

Would'nt the flare fracturing or exploding(as some say) prevent or limit sheetmetal damage ? If so, I think I would rather replace the flare than play with bondo and paint !

Back to my original question.
Is there any way to tell if I have the Bushwacker brand? They look like the ones in the catalog, but how can I tell for sure? Do they mount with rubber spacers? Anything? Just trying to make sure I have flimsy Bushwackers and not flimsy whatever brand.
