Bumper opinions/options

So I'm looking into buying a TJ and I have ran across this one.

I would like some opinions on which bumper to get that does not have winch mounts on it. I do NOT want a winch and think it would look weird having a spot for a winch and never having one.

These are two that look like what I want...

Are there anymore that wouldn't look ridiculous without a winch ? Pics would be great if you have a bumper on your jeep without a winch.

I would suggest the Warn Rock Crawler bumper. It is simple and heavy duty but wont break the bank. Here's the link it. Good luck with the jeep!

Google metalcloak. You can custom make a bumper w or w/o winch plate, stinger, how wide you want it and all that good stuff.

Why do you want a different bumper if you aren't going to run a winch?

Pull off the milk jugs and you have one that is not offensive looking and doesn't weigh a ton for free.

Thanks for the posts guys.

I mainly want a different bumper to make it look better. The rear bumper is kinda messed up so I figured why not get a matching set when I can afford.

Stock all the way. I won't replace my stocker until it's completely unusable no matter how dinged or bent it is.

They're already removed on yours; from the factory, there are plastic end caps (which look like "jugs") on the front and rear bumpers.

x2 on staying stock unless you need something specific. Sounds like unneeded weight to me.

Same here! Also no immediate plans for a winch but wanted an off-road look.
Used a Grinder to angle cut the ends, ditched bumper pads, added inexpensive light bar (for fog Lts) and repainted.......
Total cost under $90.00 and 2 hr labor.

But if looking for a nice HD off road bumper w/o winch, I like JCR Offroad a lot. Quality USA workmanship and reasonable prices.

'AdriaN' - Nice looking 'Bumble Bee'... Good Luck!

I saw this Jeep on craigslist the other day. It looks nice, and the price isn't too bad either! I have the trail gear bumper without a winch, and I love it! Here is a picture of it. Goodluck on getting the TJ!

Save your money, and put it towards something more beneficial. That is a great looking Jeep...except for the big "earth brake" hanging down in between the front and rear tires. My old stock TC skid was my biggest hang-up off road, (pun intended) when I still had it. JMHO.
