The factory jugs are just plastic so there not really protecting the corner from anything that could break the plastic, so I would be to worried but I leave my rear ones on because it gives it the look that the tires are covered more and the police are strict about where im at.

If you hit something hard enough to cause damage to the rear corner, those plastic milk jugs aren't going to do much to protect it... The first thing I did when I got my Jeep was ditch the jugs, it looks much better without them IMO. I've since replaced the bumpers, so it doesn't matter anymore, but my vote is with ditching them altogether, and not bothering with endcaps.

Here is a picture of the front bumper .... The caps are sold as caps for the rear bumper... I cut the front bumper back and flipped the caps upside down.

And the rear ...

I purchased the factory end caps after removing the jugs. I think I bought them off of Amazon for $25 shipped for both front and rear covers.

The part numbers are 55078138AA for the front and 55078139AA for the rear.

Personally, I would probably save your $25 for something else. After I put them on, I regretted it... fortunately, it was a cheap mod nonetheless.

Is there such a thing as any other jeep mod for $25 I don't know that I care, but for that cheap it is begging me to go to the dealer and see if they have them on hand
