I agree, same thing happened to me. they don't look like much, but the milk jugs on the back do offer some protection...

great thread, I left the rear milk jugs on but the front ones were the first thing to come of when I bought my jeep. I am glad that I read this thread because closing it off will look better. Now I just need to figure out how to straighten one end, it was bent a little when I bought the Jeep

My plan this weekend is to trim about 1-2 inches off each side of the front bumper with a grinder, then drill new holes to attach the end caps, giving me more clearance up front.

Believe me,if you ever get bumped in the rear those plastic milk jugs aren't going to protect anything(unless a grocery cart hits you).Most aftermarket bumpers are shorter.

x2 i took my rear jugs off as soon as i got the jeep. It looks better IMO. The jugs arent gonna protect the jeep like you think.

I went and got a cheap metal grinder and took about 3 inches off each side before I capped the front bumper. If anyone needs some front milk jugs, let me know, no charge.
