Bumper caps
Who makes a cheap, less obtrusive bumper cap? I am cutting my bumper down this weekend and would like a cap that is flat and will cap it flush with the bumper... any ideas?

MOPAR makes flush caps you can put on if remove milk jugs. Those could probably still work if are cutting bumper down further.

The Mopar (Jeep) end caps look like this. I forgot the part numbers, but if you order them from a Jeep dealer, the parts guy may not know what you are talking about so tell him that they are for an "06 X" model TJ. Only Jeep they came on stock from the factory.

First saw the end caps on a TJ at a dealer's lot in '06. I went inside and asked the parts guy about them and he didn't know what I was talking about, so I took him outside and showed him. His parts computer said they were only available on '06 X models. Oh well, you never know.

I bought mine at www.moparpartsamerica.com. They are listing them for $2.69 each for front and $6.88 each for rear. I used same hardware that was holding milk jugs on to put these on.

Call and ordered them through local Jeep dealer, 3.50 a piece... I have an '04 Wrangler, he was telling me they were only for the '06, but I imagine the bumpers are identical or close enough to alter...

Same bumpers.. Do you happen to have the part#'s handy?
My boss wants a set and it's easier to call the dealer with P#'s rather then have them scratch their heads for a day or so ![]()

What a helpful thread, I was just thinking this morning how I needed to get some of these because I can't afford new bumpers yet.

See. That's what they told me too. Your '05 must have been an anomaly.
