Largest (So I think) Online salvage yard inventory website. Should help us in our search for junkyard jewels.

Sweet thread. I went to 2 junkyards yesterday with my friend because he was looking for a window motor and dash for his camero. I did not see any ford explorers and only 1 Jeep that was a 2wd cherokee. The guy at the junk yard told me that whenever they do have Jeeps most people come and buy them whole.

or it won't fit over the spring perch on the axle, the pig tail on the top will clear the mount on the top. The end you cut becomes the bottom (only cut one inch off of each spring) I cut mine off with an angle grinder, took like 15 seconds each. ![]() Last edited by FifteenCents; 03-03-2008 at 08:33 AM.. |

Doesn't matter they are all the same size, the Police Intercepter version is
a little stiffer. I asked a cop friend of mine where they get rid of thier old cop cars. He told me the name of the salvage yard, I gave them a ring-a-ding. |

I did the ZJ steering. I was actually able go get new cheaper than my local boneyards. I did learn that my 05 LJ already had the beefy draglink, but the tierod setup was a vast improvement.

how about some track bar swaps? I was looking for a drop bracket for the rear but I can't even find one at 4WD or Quadratec.

This is a great question, is there a trackbar from another vehicle that will bolt in place of the stock one to compensate for a lift of a couple of inches?

is this just a separate switch you splice in to your wiper wires or what? Cause most cars that have intermitten wipers have the switch built into the wiper handle itself I'd like more info pls ![]() |

I am either blind or too tired, but I didn't catch this. When taking the springs from the Crown Vic for the 3" lift, do you want the fronts from the CV for the rear on the TJ? or do you use all the springs from the CV in the same positions on your TJ?

I'm going with this setup. I ordered a set of ZJ coils from AutoZone for $73 and some change brand new where the boneyard wanted a $100. I have a set of 2" spacers already installed and planned on leaving them for around 5" or so.
