Is the ZJ tie rod a bolt on straight out of the junkyard? or does it need to be modified or anything

Straight-up bolt-on, but you will need to adjust your toe-in.

Actually, for the cost and the "iffy-ness" of what I might get and have to replace later, I just got a new one with ends.

for 8.8 adapter flange, just get a ford explorer 91-95 with drum brakes, its a 1310. 96+ uses a 1330 u-joint

Its when you align your jeep. Caster, camber, toe in or out.....

.....its all up down left right side to side, in order to straighten her up and get even tire wear.

Yes, great thread.

Can someone give me a real world example of when the durango steering box would come in handy? I can decide if I should just put a skid plate over my stock steering, or get the durango box and try and find someone to custom a skid plate up
