ANybody know of some control arms that would fit (or come close to fitting with light modification) on my tj. I have a 3 in lift with stock control arms and I want to restore the wheelbase but aftermarket arms are way out of my budget right now.

Thanks.

Not sure how the install will go, but I bought a wiper switch from a Neon on Ebay for about $20. I'll be attempting an install next week.

I'll let ya'll know how it goes.

I can one up you on that one. Most tractor trailer trucks have LED lights on the rear ends and in the turn signals now, it is just how they come from the factory now. Find one of the bone yards that houses those suckers, and you can get the lights off of them for pennies on the dollar. Then all you have to do is cut the whole in the tub to accept the lights. The turn signals will blink twice as fast, but not a big deal and certainly not illegal. (if you put a relay in there is will slow the blinking to normal speeds.)

Depending on the year of you rig, the flasher relay under the dash can be opened up, and the "quick flash" circuit could be cut. Easy, 20 min job and you have normal acting turn indicators. That's what I did.

I'm wondering about the oil, though. I used olive oil in my tests last fall, because I figured it was the least noxious. When I used the washer to test a water injection idea, It was a lot of work to get the now-clotted oil out. used motor oil? 50:50 vegetable oil and ethanol?
I'm sorry but that's just retarded. That's like killing a rabbit with a bazooka. Why not hit your brakes a little to "scare" them, or give them the finger or something?

Someone tailgates you, and you want to spray their windshield with oil so they can't see? What if they crash and get killed? What if they run over a kid on a bicycle on the side of the road?

I really hope you don't do something like this. I suppose you're the type of guy to beat a guy to within an inch of his life for bumping into you in a pub?

i like the idea with the exception of the oil. Personally if i got squirted with wiper fluid for following to close i would laugh and back off. Oil is a bit excessive though.

i think a high concentrate liquid soap would be funny, a little gets on there, then the guy hits the windshield washer fluid to get it off and gets a ton of bubbles all over the windshield.

Installing that Neon Wiper Switch was simple.

It is so nice to have the Intermittant wipers available.

1996 Grand Cherokee leather seat

I'm looking for a used leather electric seat for the drivers side that matches the other one. It is not soft leather but more like a harder synthetic leather. The duct tape is not looking so good. New ones are too expensive as this Jeep has seen dogs and children...Thanks for any help.

^ this thread is for posting what you find in a junkyard, not a parts request.

When you use the springs from a Crown Vic to lift the rear, what do you have to do about the 4 link suspension part of it. I'm sure they have to be longer right to make up for the added height?

Nope, the stock control arms work perfect.

Crown vic springs will give you about 3.5 inches of lift,

You only need longer arms if you go over 4 inches of lift.

You will need longer shocks though.

Here is my thread on the "MOD" lift I did...
