Broken zipper on the rear window. How to FIX?

Well we were taking the top off for the first time that we had the jeep and everything came off kinda hard. All the zippers were corroded and one of the zippers in the rear were heavily corroded. I put PB on all of them before i started and ended up breaking off the zipper on the driver side of the rear window. now the only zipper that holds the window on is the right half. How would i go about fixing this?Should i be looking for a new soft top? Please help!! This is on the 03 wrangler

you can buy the windows individually. I dont know about the zippers. the brand is ykk. you could try contacting them or bestop and explain the situation. they might be able to send you a replacement for a couple bucks. quadratec also sells a zipper lube and cleaner that has a little brush on it to keep them clean and free moving for the future. hope this helps!!

You can get a replacement YKK zipper piece at most yardage stores.

This my be a dumb question, but how does the top come off? dow you take off all the windows and then just fold it down or can you just fold the top back with the windows on?

Also, how does the back window come off? does the zipper i broke act as the beginning to the zipper? or do you just zip them both to the middle and fold the widow in?

Sorry for the stupid questions, never had a jeep with a removeable top before.

I always remove windows then lower top. Zip from one side to the other. Never tried leaving back window in. I wouldn't really try it that way.

I just roll my back window up with the zippers up to the top on each side. To take it off you have to get both zippers to one end. I just take the top off usually rather than foling it down. Theres 4 torx screws on the softtop frame attached to the roll cage then just undo all the trim pieces. There's two clips above the sun visors and the trim attached to the door surrounds and the back corners, that just pop out.

They sell just the zippers. I have never bought from them tho. I ended up getting a smoking deal on a new top so I didn't have to replace my rear zipper.

I use a liquid silcone on my zippers now.
