Bring On The Brute!

I noticed that the Brute from American Expedition Vehicles has been mentioned many times in the forum, but I didn't see a thread devoted to them. So, what have you guys heard about it? Has anyone heard a price? I read on the AEV site that Jeep almost put this vehicle into production. I'm guessing that that means this is a proven and fairly reliable setup. Has anyone here actually gotten this conversion?

Here's a few pictures if anyone is curious of what the Brute is........

there are lots of threads discussing this. to most it is nice, but hugely overpriced. especially if you go with the hemi conversion....+$50K

It seems like very few people if any have bought them. Most people are not willing to consider a conversion vehicle that expensive even though AEV does top notch work. They are probably not very overpriced because the labor must be very time consuming. But it is still pricey.

Road Armor has the Summit, which is their attempt at the TJ Pick up. The kits are available for under 10K

Is that a Road Armor bumper? That thing looks like a spaceship on Mars.

The Brute Conversion from AEV is now $8,995...pretty respectable I'd say!

Do you work for brute or something?

The kit is nice but way overpriced even at 8k

Give someone that knows what they are doing 8k and watch what they can do to a TJ. If your that hell bent on a truck get an LJ and halftop and you still have 6-7k left over

NO I do not work for AEV, but I am a big fan of their company (as are most Jeep fanatics). I really like their kit and thought I might share it with the community...no need to get all pissy about it! These guys know what they are doing by the way...

If all jeep "fanatics" are fans of them wouldnt the jeep community already know?

It doesnt seem like you know waht you are talking about. While the Brute looks cool its really expensive. Also, if your going for a pure wheeling rig its not the best way to go either.

Just seems like your talking up a storm about it posting pics and links and dont know a ton about it.

If you like it, great, go do it.

Not getting pissy, just giving you what you asked for, an opinion
