I bought a 97 wrangler sport with a OME lift kit on it, how do you tell how high a lift kit was put on it? Looked at rear of transfer case and it does not have a SYE installed. Also has 31/10.5 tires, 20" from ground to rocker bottoms.

If it's OME and it only has 31's, it'd most likely be the default 2.5" OME lift.

for the TJ there is only a 2" OME lift. with the HD springs it΄s a 2.5" lift.

my 32's and a 2" coil lift is about 22" to the rocker panel. seems like you got a small lift. when i had 32's and no lift i was at 19" (so i got 3" out of it) but if your measurements are correct then it seems like you don't have the 2" or 2.5" OME lift. if you did your rocker panel would probably be at least 21" high.

I fairly certain that the OME lift was limited to 2.5" due to regulations in Austrailia. They cant even call it a lift kit, its a suspension system.

Enjoy your "new to you" Jeep...Welcome to your newest addiction!

While you can get 4" OME springs they are fairly new, It's likely that you have the 2.5" lift.

Thanks for the help, my tires are about 50% or less so that would account for some of the difference. Don't know how long or how many miles the lift kit has on!
