Bought a Jeep with Hard Top? heres a poll

if you bought a Wrangler with a factory hard top installed, PLEASE do the poll so I can make a decision on what kind of top to get on my new jeep.

thanks everyone.

I have dual tops, and neither top leaks with rain or snow. The hard top seals up nearly air-tight.

ok awesome.. keep the votes coming..

a dealership here has just gotten in a 2006 rubi LWB but with a hard top and i was planning to get the soft top..

the hard top is nice because of added security, but i was worried about leakage.. if leaking is not a problem, looks like i will go and work out a deal tomorrow.. we'll see.

I wouldn't be as concerned with leakage on the top as I would be usage. Are you going to want to take your top off being in Houston? I know I'm in Columbus, Ohio, and as crappy as the weather is here, I wouldn't want to run a hard top in the summer because of how often I have my top off. Some people aren't top off Jeepers though...

that was a big issue, since i would have loved to ride topless/top down.. BUT i am worried about the lack of security with a soft top. so a hard top will work for me as long as it doesnt leak.

plus houston is sooo damn hot i doubt i would run topless too often.

Ditto. My soft top ain't too bad in the rain and snow. With age it's developed some leaks around the doors, but that's to be expected.

Ha Ha, I did the poll! I just picked up my hard topped Jeep on Sunday so I have had no leaks yet! I do notice with the windows up you really need to shut the doors hard as it's sealed pretty good. It has the dual tops and I removed the hard top to get the softy out last night. No biggie if you have help lifting it. I doubt I'll use the soft top. I'm gonna store it and if I feel I have no need for it I'll try and sell it. Love the hard top though. Bob

No dice, mines a LJ (Rubicon Unlimited) The top won't fit an X. Sorry.

The Unlimited tops are nice. They have a sun roof type deal on them you can lay back. Bob
