I bought this hardtop and the man told me it's an '01. It fits on my '03 but the wires are different colors and the connectors are different. After ripping the wires apart to wire it direct, I gave up and bought connectors that will work but, can't remember where the wires went in the connector to the hardtop. It doesn't have a dome light. It has a defroster and wiper. The wires on the top are black, black/white, black/green, blue/red, and brown/pink.

Any info will be greatly appreciated.

I just checked mine and my 03 top has the same wire colors you see on yours. My wrangler is a 97 so I know the body wiring harness will be different from yours but maybe if I give you the details it might give you some ideas to go on. My body harness has black, black/white, black/green, pink/white, yellow, and two brown/pink. When I hooked everything up I didn't use the pink/white or yellow on the body wiring. The rest I hooked up as follows:

Body Harness<------>Top
Black<------>Black
Black/White<------>Black/White
Black/Green<------>Black/Green
Brown/Pink<------>Blue/Red
Brown/Pink<------>Brown/Pink

Thanks. I don't have the pink/white and yellow. I think I tried that but I will try it again. Maybe the defroster is bad. The wiper works fine. I just got done putting a 2.5 inch suspension lift on it today. Hope I can get the defroster working before it gets cold. Thanks again for your advice.
