body and motor mount lift causing t-case problems

i recently installed the JKS body lift/motor mount lift combo. I tried to put it in 4wd earlier and the thing isnt going in. The guy at the 4wp store said it is because i have an aftermarket t-case shift bracket, and something about there not being enough leverage to shift it in gear.

The reason i have that aftermarket bracket is because my stupid cousin installed a t-case lowering kit back when he had the jeep, so i guess he put that bracket in there too. The 4wp guy said i need to get a stock bracket.

Any suggestions on how to fix the one i have? i dont even know what the stock bracket looks like, so if somebody has a pic that would be great so i could compare it to mine.

PLEASE HELP because my buddies with jeeps and i are going on an offroading trip this weekend, i need a fix asap.

Something is screwy with your linkage.
Get under there and watch it as someone shifts between 2hi to 4lo.
Something may be loose or broken or just out of measure.

Even if the drop bracket was installed it shouldn't make that much difference to shift with the MML.
Stock bracket.

You might just need to adjust the shift linkage.

The shift linkage has a bolt that pinches a rod that then moves the shift lever on the t-case, at least it does stock. With angle and distance changes this may need to be adjusted. Let it loose so that the shift handle settles all the way down then tighten it. Hope that helps. If you don't get it right before your trip just reach in there before the trail and man instruct that thing into 4lo and go.
