Body Lift and Motor mount lift questions

I have a 1997 TJ with a 4cly, 5spd, and 4:10 gears, I recently installed the RC 2.5 lift. When I did the lift I went ahead and installed the transfer case drop that came with the kit. I have been thinking about gettin a 1" BL and a 1" MML. So for all of you that have a TC drop, BL, and MML - Do the TC and Trans shifters get bound up? If they do what is a good way to fix it?

Did you drive the Jeep before installing the xfercase drop? There's a slight probability you didn't have vibes.

My body lift came with a relocation bracket for the shifter linkage. you might even be able to remove your t-case drop if you do the mml.

It much easier to relocate the fan shroud than do a mml & my bl kit came with relocation brackets for that as well. But if you want to reclaim skid plate clearance by removing the t-case drop, the mml should do the trick

I'm hardly an expert, but I recently did all this stuff to my Jeep

My tcase shifter did bind and just plain felt "weird"(for lack of better term). I got the Advance Adapters linkage relocator and it shifts so smooth now and not once has popped out of 4-low, even after 8 hours of continuous wheeling. Just my .02

Thanks for the info. I haven't drove the jeep with out the TC lowering kit but I will have to try it. I would really like to run 33s so that is why I want to do the BL and MML.

It feels a bit different that before. not better or worse, just different. But offroad its like I am cheating climbing hills compared to with open diffs. I am very happy with it.

installing a mml/bl SOMETIMES will not cure the vibes the tcd had cured !so be prepared to install some shims if you find out that some vibes have been left.

Sometimes installing a mml will add more vibes. The reason being is that the mml does not have as soft of rubber or polyurethane as the factory. I kept my factory mounts and used the JKS bmml. Same amount of work for less money and no additional vibes.

If you do the bl and bmml at the same time your linkage should be just fine, even if you did the belly up to boot. I had no issues.

You may need adj uppers in the rear if you do the belly up to help with the ds angle.

if you use the m.o.r.e or browndogs you'll have no problem with the vibes cause they are rubber too and much better quality!!the jks bmml isn't as good as these two imo

Since you mentioned MORE....I will say that they are the ones that are harder than factory......so.......that could mean that the browndog may also be harder......or they recently changed it as mentioned by another poster in another thread.

Why spend over $100+ on aftermarket to see if you get vibes or not?

Everyone has their fav's

Still the same work less cost and no worries about vibes.
