On-board Welder?

I want to get an on board welder or make one for my TJ 99 sahara. I have heard of adding an alternator and getting some other odds and ends also thinking of purchasing a unit but would rather make one. Any suggestions? Links to how to's?

heres a couple to get you started. that top one looks pretty informative and semi easy to do. good luck
