Blue lighting a jeep

Im about to turn 18 and get my blue light permit from the fire dept. Since I can throw strobes onto my jeep, I want to. If any one has any experiance in this, how/where did you put all of the equipment?

FHP used to have a trooper Jeep and they had a strobe pack on the dash and the "wig-wag" strobes in the turn signals. If you have a light bar, you could put them on that.

The easiest way would be to use a small LED bar above your rearview mirror. You can also fit some small stobe tubes in the rear tail light housings. Double check your state law to make sure that they do not require 360deg warning. If they do you would also have to find a way to flash your corner markers in a color other than amber.

Also as a side note make sure that you contact your insurance company and ensure that they will cover you as an emergency vehicle or service vehicle depending on how your vehicle will be classified in your state.

One last thing, if you dont have it already make sure that you take an EVOC class.

I have a whalen stobe 90w power supply in a water proof container under my drivers seat with the switches all on the side facing out the front for easy hidden acces to your switches I am running 2strobe tubes in the taillights ( pull the housing front off and you can easily mount the strobe tube to the metal seperater in the housing by just drilling a hole in that making sure to avoid the other lights in the housing) In the front I have a pair of cheap off road lights that I drilled out and mounted the strobe tubes inside those instead of actuall lights Then you could run a wig wag flasher to the headlights or some other foglights maybe even some window hinge mounted off road lights...Then a led dash light would be nice too

I wasnt sure if the strobes would fit in the tail light, its tight in there, it works though? Good idea with the off road lights.

Sometimes the things that may or may not be true are the things a man needs to believe in the most. That people are basically good; that honor, courage, and virtue mean everything; that power and money mean nothing; that good always triumphs over evil, that true love never dies. Doesn't matter if it's true or not. You see, a man should believe in those things, because those are the things worth believing in.

yes the tail light stobes fit its tight i had to bend the original bulb alittle bit to the side but if you drill it pretty close to the side where there is no light you should be fine
