Bilstein Shocks

I have a '99 TJ, that I am putting 2" Pro Comp coils on. I am trying to pick out some shocks and have decided to go with Bilstein. What would fit 2" coils the best, 10", 12", 14" travel and 5100, 5125, 5150 series? Thank you for any input.

I ordered the same deal on Ebay 5/07 . Their 10 day delivery guarantee expired today . They said rears were shipped last Tuesday which I have not received as of yet nor do I know when the fronts they didn't have are comming . I also saw in their feed back some one else complaining about them selling items they don't have . Mine said they had 4 sets at the time it was ordered . I have my newest Jeep sitting in the garage all lifted and no shocks . I bought a lift kit from them years ago for my Super duty and had no problem back then . I have no tracking # or email replys . I shouldn't complain as it has never happened to me before on Ebay but it sucks when it does so ask them first if they actually do have the ability to ship as they say .

I would go a different route for the springs. I have the procomp ones and they are crap. My jeep is leaning in the rear cause one side is compressed more that the other.

I have the Bilstein 5100's for a 3" short arm lift that I paired with a set of 2" BDS springs that gave my soft top 1997 TJ a 2.5" lift.

After 2-3 years it is still running great and I would use the same parts again.

1997 TJ Soft Top/ Half Doors

31*10.5 R15 Maxxis Trepador Radial Tyres | 2" BDS Spring Lift | Bilstein 5100 Shocks | JKS Discos | JKS Rear Swaybar Links | 100W Narva Spotlights

Both sound good. I don't think I am gonna stick with the Procomps too long. When I do my axle swaps, I think I'll upgrade to something new. But this is good input thus far Thnx guys

I agree with sending Kolak a PM. He was great to deal with when I ordered my Bilsteins. I ran them with pro comp 2" coils.

I refused the money and they now have one more red mark in their feedback column . Not because of the back order but because when mine were purchased they said they had 4 more sets avaiable . poor management is why I gave them that nice big red dot in the feedback dept.

I purchased some 5100's on May 15th. The rears just arrived, but no word on the fronts yet. I e-mailed and spoke to Kolak on the phone, and he explained that there is a shortage of these bilsteins right now. The factory is cranking them out as fast as they can, but the demand is very high right now. Just a bad timing thing.

I think it will be worth the wait though. We'll see.

I ordered a set of 5100's from Top Gun Customz last Tuesday and they arrived Friday. Installed them Saturday and can't believe the ride difference over the RC 2.2's that came with my 2.5" RC lift.

Yeah RC is garbage. I was going to go with Bilsteins 5100 but Im going with OME Nitrocharger sports instead.

If yours is light I would rethink the ome sports. I have them and they are too firm for my liking.
