I was wondering if someone could tell me the differences between the different bikini tops there are. I want to get one before warm weather but I want to know what the difference is before ordering. There is the header, safari, safari header, and strapless bikini. Why is there so many different kinds?
thanks,
Joe

The header is part of the safari top .Ether you get a top that goes into a rail on the inside of the window or you get a header that uses the regular roof latches and then the top slides into it.I originally had the top that goes on the inside , but the rail it slided into had gaps where the latches where and every time it rained it would drip right into the hazard switch and screwed it up .I now have the other top that goes onto the header and love it. If you would like a pic of the header I could e-mail it to you .

I like a bikini without straps but thats my personal choice. It also depends on your roll bar and whether you can use one with out straps. I use a strapless on my 90 Wrangler which does not have the larger roll bar and goes into the same windshield track as my soft top. Works great, easy on, easy off just like a bikini should.

A bikini top covers just the driver and pass.
A safari bikini covers both front and back seats.
If you have a CJ or YJ, it usualy uses the attaching point on the windshield that is used by the soft top (the header).
If you have a TJ you can get a drill style or no drill header. This is what the bikini attaches to on a TJ, different type of top system.
As far as strapless or not, that is the only type I have seen for TJ's, very few are made with straps, and only for YJ's and CJ's.

Here are a couple of pics
the nice thing about this top is if you have the soft top door frames on it just hooks into the frame like the regular soft top but if the frames are off it will velcro around the bars that bolt to the windsheild.

Thanks - one more question...
Awesome pics - you sold me!
Could you post where you got that top from?
Looks good (but you do need a new flag)
