better braking ability?

What's everyone's opinion on front pads for a tj? Would you say ceramic or standard pads will give you better braking ability? I would love to get the vanco kit but for now it's just not in the budget. Thanks in advance.

The dudes on here who seem to know and did all the testing/comparing say that EBC greenstuff pads, 7000 series, are the best pads bar none. I have a set I ordered for my stock brake set up but can not comment because I have not installed them yet. I paid about 99.00 dollars for them. I bought them online

That's only because you haven't used the Yellow ones.

If they were to fight, the yellow ones would be Chuck Norris and the green ones would be Punky Brewster.

It's hard to define a pad by a generic term as standard or ceramic.

The pads we have really high success with are a blend of ceramic, organic, and kevlar fibers. What does that make them?

Consider that the worst pad I ever put on a vehicle was a Morse Ceramic from Autozone and one of the best has a high ceramic content, now what?

Just to be sure. Are these the ones you're refering to Blaine? http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=EBC%2DDP41255R&N= 700+400528+4294908280+4294907384+115&autoview=sku

What are the best rotors to pair up with the EBC greens or yellows? Assuming stock caliper and MC.

MrBlaine,

I noticed that Summit Racing lists the EBC Yellow pads for Wranglers 2002 and up. When I did a search for 2001 Wranglers, only the Greenstuff pads were listed. Is there a difference in pads between model years 2001 and 2002?

No difference in front pads from 97 to 06 that I've ever seen.
