Just to be clear, can you tell us what box you used, if your seat is the fold and tumble type, and did you lose any functionality of the seat after the install? Does it still slide and fold and tumble (if it has that feature)?

Thanks

So I am guessing you just cut out the hump section of floor channel directly under where the lockbox mounts?

I have 97-02 sliders with Mastercraft seats mounted to them. The Bestop lock box bolted up after having to contort my hands into getting the front bolts started/tight (older sliders do not allow access to the front where you can gain easy access to the bolt head). Thought I was all good to go until I tried to slide the seat foward. The Bestop box is about 5mm to wide and hits the pivots that allow you to release the seat and slide it back/forth. I got it to slide, but it was like an act of congress and then I didn't trust that the seat was fully locked into place. IMHO not worth the trouble or safety risk, so out came the Bestop box.

Now on to round #2 I have my OEM 05 seats and sliders with a 1.5 riser kit. This WILL NOT work either as the tilt bar is still in the way of the box sliding back into place.

IMHO this is a very POORLY designed box. I liked the size of it, but Bestop needs to redesign it by being 5mm to 10mm shy in width and then 1/2 an inch shorter. I also think the lock should have some sort of rubber boot to cover it from the elements. That lock didn't work very smoothly out of the box and I can only imagine it with a little dirt/sand/mud in it!!!

I have the tilt forward seats, hockey puck seat lift, and one of these http://www.safeboxstore.com/safebox--portable-safe.html mounted under the driver's seat. I had to cut the tube that locks the tilt function together and bolt in a piece of angle to clear it. It fits a full size Glock and the face plate to my stereo at the same time
