I have 97-02 sliders with Mastercraft seats mounted to them. The Bestop lock box bolted up after having to contort my hands into getting the front bolts started/tight (older sliders do not allow access to the front where you can gain easy access to the bolt head). Thought I was all good to go until I tried to slide the seat foward. The Bestop box is about 5mm to wide and hits the pivots that allow you to release the seat and slide it back/forth. I got it to slide, but it was like an act of congress and then I didn't trust that the seat was fully locked into place. IMHO not worth the trouble or safety risk, so out came the Bestop box.
Now on to round #2 I have my OEM 05 seats and sliders with a 1.5 riser kit. This WILL NOT work either as the tilt bar is still in the way of the box sliding back into place.
IMHO this is a very POORLY designed box. I liked the size of it, but Bestop needs to redesign it by being 5mm to 10mm shy in width and then 1/2 an inch shorter. I also think the lock should have some sort of rubber boot to cover it from the elements. That lock didn't work very smoothly out of the box and I can only imagine it with a little dirt/sand/mud in it!!!
