Bestop soft upper door sliders?

Anyone tried these? The soft ones, not the hard ones, with sliding glass window, to go on half hard doors.

They're excellent in the winter, much quieter.
I wouldn't want to run them all year because the window doesn't open far enough when it's hot. Plus, they're heavy, so you can't easily toss them in the back like the plastic-window ones.

Well I just saw how much they cost, so the point is moot, since I don't "need" replacements.

I never throw mine in the back anyway, though. I either run them or put them in the house. If it's hot, they're at the house.

Saw a buddy's half upper sliders with the hardtop. They were excellent. Ordered what I thought were the same as his, but they were the one's you are after with the fabric. Didn't like them as well. Can't say about the noise as I have a soft top and it is always loud. They did leak a little when new, but some bending here and there (like the soft uppers) took care of most of it. Now down to a very small leak on passenger side that I will try to seal this summer. Watch out for car washes!!! Might as well open them for how much they actually keep out. They are nice with the soft top in the winter. When I get $$$, I am going to order the hard top and half upper sliders like I originally wanted. I don't know if they will work with a soft top though. Would I get them again? With a soft top, yes. But if I had the bucks, I would've gone the hard top/upper slider route in the first place. Good luck, Joe

My Tj started as a softop with half doors, then I purchased a hardtop, next logical step was the upper sliders. I got the fabric surrounded sliders discussed in this thread.
In the heaviest of down pous when parked at the wrong angle iget a little water around the seals - but less than I tend to get on the average outing so nothing that worrys me.
They are definately quieter and obviously more secure....and no zippers ..... can open at free way speed for a little extra air without the window "sucking" out. bit of a squeeze for drivethroughs & paying tolls - although the Tolls aren't an issue now we run electronic tags

Anyhow ened of the day I;ve been running them for over 2years now and would do it again any day!!
