Bestop soft top

I bought a bestop supertop but its for a CJ/YJ and i didnt realize it when i bought it that it was for those models but i have a TJ, would it work on my TJ?

No, even tj's from 97 to 02 cant fit tops from 03 to 06, sorry to hear that

97-06, any top will fit any TJ

The windows are not interchangeable due to zipper configurations.
The fabric and hardware is otherwise identical for all 97-06.

Im getting alot of mixed answers. Im not using half doors, im using my full metal doors so that is not a concern i have. But the frame for the top will fit on my TJ?

No. A CJ/YJ top will not work on a TJ.

You need part# 51709 or 54709. 51 has clear windows, 54 has tinted windows. Both are for full steel doors.

The frame for the top you bought won't fit on your Jeep. The frames have different mounting configurations across the years.

As for the 97-02 and 03-06 thing, it's not true. As long as you have all the hardware for the top you can run and 97-06 top and any TJ. They also changed the colors of the tops coming from the factory in mid 2002 starting the 2003 model year. You'll see there is black diamond and black denim available, the diamond is a richer black with a little bit thicker fabric. The black denim is a jean like material that came on most Jeeps until 2002.
