For the front, I absolutely love the lines of the Warn bumpers on a TJ.

What are the advantages of a short (52") bumper vs. a normal length (60") bumper?

Don't forget about Craigslist... I got this bumper (fabtech), winch plate, and both D-shackles for $150

If your looking for a solid, heavy, unbreakable bumper, I would look at the ARB Bull bumper.
My buddy had one on his ZJ...watched it take down several trees

The ability to get your tire up onto larger objects with out hitting the bumper.

The longer bumper will cover the front of the tire, making it so if you want that portion of your tire to hit something, you can't because of the bumper.

Was pondering these for awhile? I went ahead and ordered the front and am working on mounting lights now on the tabs on the hoop "Rampage Recovery" Not the most popular but a unique bumper for sure. Is anyone running these? Should be able to put pics up in about an hour.

Kind of what I was going for I really like the mounting holes for lights in the bottom & To my surprise when it got here it had tabs on the hoop which was not stated on the web site I am going to order the rear as well and drill and tap for a zerk fitting was about the only thing I did not like about the tire carrier. But I can fix that cheap. It is a beefy bumper as well. I will post up a picture here in a minute have to heat shrink a couple wires and I am done w/ the front. P.s. I have not ordered the x-tra driving and reverse lights yet but as soon as I have the x-tra $ they are next.
