Best TJ Front Bumper

When I bought my jeep it had chrome tubular bumpers and steps all the way around, I've grown to hate them and think they make my jeep look like a retirement vehicle.

Anyways, I'm interested in getting a new front bumper first, I was thinking the Warn bumper with the grill guard. Also, I want to try to keep it on a budget but I am not afraid of spending a little extra to get something sweet and functional. I want to install winch also so it has to accomodate.

So which bumper do you like and let's see some pics if you got 'em!

The Hanson bumpers are great, but they are very expensive. The AFW bumpers look similar, perform great, and are about $200 less.

The AFW bumper seem like they are a great deal! I'm curious to see if anybody has any feedback on the Rugged Ridge Grill Guard Bumper, it seems like a good deal at $329. The Warn Rock Crawler with grille Guard or the Besttop HighRock 4x4 are sharp.

I have the Rokmen bumper and love it. It's sturdy and the winch mount is built in. Here is a link to their site

I love my LoD front setup with bumper and hoop guard. Bumper was $150 and the hoop was $80. Very good quality. Can't beat the price.

That rokman bumper is basic but looks pretty nice on those rubicons they have pictured, my tj isn't too wild and I like the stock look with maybe some fender flares, and that's what I want to see, is some DD TJ's with bumpers, all the pictures I always see are of these wildly modded Jeep, I really dig those too but I like the "mild-mannered" look for now, thanks for that!

Your not going to get a solid answer on this, everyone will have their own opinion.

Personally I think the Warn bumper and hoop are perfectly matched to the TJ, not to big or small and functional. Just an FYI to run the hoop you must also have the Warn winch mounting plate, but if your getting a winch that shouldnt be a big deal.

So the warn bumpers still need a winch mounting plate? They don't come with them?

The Warn bumper does not need the mounting plate. If you want to add the warn hoop (like the one in the above pic) the hoop mounts to the winch mounting plate, not the bumper. So no warn winch plate, no warn hoop. The bumper does not come with a winch plate.

There are other hoops you can buy that look similar that do not require the plate, there is also a warn hoop for a stock bumper w/o the mounting plate, but I it looks very different and I dont think it would look right on the warn bumper.

Theboogieman's pic above has the hoop I was talking about, thats not the warn hoop (it is the warn bumper) but the hoop looks very similar and does not require the winch plate.

Does anybody know why some pictures don't show up on this computer? The avatars show up, but sometimes the pics in the post just show up as white dots, any clues? Sorry, I know it has nothing to do with the thread but I'd like to see the pics.
