Ok so im having trouble deciding on weather to buy the Long Arm lift from BDS or from Rough Country. ive done my research and the cost is a bout 1000 dollars differance bieng that RC is cheaper. I do go wheeling alot and i dont do the extreme rock crawling like most ppl but i do press the limit sometimes.I just need some of your opinions if the extra grand is worth it or just go ahead and get the RC for my 03 TJ. Thanks a lot guys

Between the two, it's a no-brainer for me: BDS. 6" is a lot of lift, though, so keep the rest of the costs in mind.

Having had experience with both of these kits at one point or another, I'd go with BDS solely for the fact that their parts are a bit studier. That doesn't mean that Rough Country isn't good either! Although you also need to put into consideration what else you will have to do after you lift your Jeep 6".

my buddy has the bds 6" on his 04 tj. he loves it. i've ridden with him a couple of times and it rides awesome on and offroad. he has bilstein shocks.

Yes, there are other modifications to consider when going for a 6" LA.
As you can see by reading my specs, that is what I have.
I did install a Slip Yoke Eliminator. I went with a super short kit and CV shaft. I'd recommend looking for a similar set-up. I went through Tom Woods and everything fit perfectly.
With 6" of lift, you can fit 35" tires or even 37's if you'd like. I prefer 35's just for the space in my wheel wells. However, when you run a larger tire like that, you have to upgrade your axles IMO. My axles are not stock and they are re-geared which, is something to consider if you plan on going anywhere. :D I also have high-steer but you could chose another option for steering if you wanted to work with that. Also, a brake upgrade is a good idea as well.
You may know all of that already. It definitely adds up. I built my axles and all that jazz before I put my suspension and larger tires on.

yes and no. he had a problem with his lockright in the 30. he kept snapping yukon shafts. he replaced the lockright with an ox and hasn't busted anything.

Yeah ive already put those parts into the mix im already lookin at about 7 grand in upgrades with axle shafts lockers and everything else. im putting on 35s i dont think i wanna go any bigger. im prolly going to go with the BDS it was my first choice but i saw the price on the RCs and needed some input on them

I'd go with BDS out of those two. I'd go with Clayton over anyone else, though. After using Currie Johnny Joints and seeing the issues with all of the rest, I wouldn't want to go with anything else.

Just read through your profile. Is it even possible to break a RockJock 60 with that small of a tire? :D
