BB Vibes gone after 12k mile service!?!?

Ive had my BB for about 4-5 months and I've always had vibes from 20-30mph. Today I took her in for the 12k mile service. For some reason my vibes are totally gone now. As far as I know all they did was change the fluids and rotate the tires. I'm thinking maybe they tightened up some looseness in my front end as well. What could have caused the vibes to disappear like that??? Not that I'm complaining but I was SHOCKED. I mean it rides like a brand new Jeep. I always thought it was a driveline vibration even though everything I read tells me that it's a rare occurance with just a BB. Any thoughts???

actually you answered your own question. When thy rotated your tires it probable got ride of the shake you were having. With bigger tires, (even stock) they are kind of hard to keep in balance, so i think they solved your problem.

So you think they balanced them as well when they rotated them? Or did they just swap them out? Either way the vibes are gone and I can't beleive it. I was even TRYING to make them come back and I couldn't. They were worst when I accelerated hard through 30mph going uphill. Tried duplicating that and it was nice and smooth each time

I'd guess the rotation did it. The front tires wear different on the front end of solid axle vehicle. I try to rotate with every oil change.

That is true but I dont think the tread wear would be the cause of the vibes

my explaination is this. maybe one of your front tires was a LITTLE out of balane, which cause some minor vibes, when moved to the back (since obviousley the back tires dont steer) it didnt affect it. just my .02

I dunno, it's so weird. I was SURE it was a driveline vibe. Obviously I was wrong It HAS to have something to do with tire balance then I'd imagine. You are probably right and one of them is slightly off.

It certainly was worse when I punched it. Like I said it was WORST when I was accelerating hard through 30mph If I was coasting I barely noticed it at all but it was there to some degree. It was a hard vibration too. Came right up through the floor, another reason why I thought driveline. It started gradually around 21-22 mph then topped out at 30 and by 31-32mph and up it was totally non-existant.

If you change every 3000 miles, then I do believe that it's too often to rotate. I was told that tires should be rotated every 5k - 6k miles. I rotate mine every other oil change.

you can never rotate your tires "too much", just like you can never change your oil "too much". Also, uneven tread wear will -surely- cause a vibration!
