New projects!

My wife and I are having a baby. We are very excited. But, now I am on a mad scramble now to complete as much as possible before the baby is born. Still need to purchase and install;

*Control arms-have uppers, just need lowers
*Back to wanting front tube fenders - REALLY WANT TO GET THEM! Priority #1!
*Springs spacers - just to level front end
*1.25 Bodylift and MML
*Vinyl seats or Waterproof covers (I will trade someone sahara seats for vinyl. I Will even throw in some cash. Let me know if you are interested)
*Rear corner guards
*Ipod input for stock stereo - I don't want a new stereo.

*And, I picked up two more projects that weren't on the list. I couldn't pass them up though! They were cheap from a local JEEP club member and I have ideas for them!

The CJ tailgate was so far down the list of JEEP priorities. But, I can't pass up a bargain.

We just bought a house and I wanted a cool piece of wall art (It will also be functional. However, I doubt I ever remove the lights). The picture above is the rough draft. I am making a background for it. I also purchased a windshield frame for $10. When it is completed, it should look pretty cool.

This is the YJ write-up, it can't go on the same side as the TJ

very nice jeep!!! how did you prep the dif cover for painting? and what type of paint did you use? It looks great and very unique. Im not saying you should do this (but it might be pretty cool if you got that painted on your hood!) haha just a thought. Beautifull jeep man, i hope someday i will be able to get a TJ just like yours.

I used two write ups.

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f9/tj-hummer-intake-write-up-buick-airbox-473981/

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f27/write-up-hummer-cold-air-intake-326040/

I did most of the same stuff with just a couple differences. When it's not so cold, I can take some pictures if the two sites don't have the pics you need.

Thanks a lot! I used a large amount of degreaser, wire brush, and then primed. It wasn't too bad. I used spray paint, but I can't remember what kind. It was probably Krylon. Logo on the hood might be cool and would for sure be unique. I like your Cherokee. Love Cherokees. Anyway, thanks again.

I've been hit and miss on visiting Jeep forum for the past 5 months. Mostly miss. lol. In that time we bought a house, I graduated school and I got a job in the ICU at a local hospital. We were expecting a baby. It was very exciting news. But, unfortunately miscarried. So, hopefully better luck next time.
Anyway, I'm back to being on here nightly. I've missed a lot. Lots of good reading ahead.
Summer batjeep reboot plans...iggee seat covers, ball joints, fab up jerry can mount for warn bumper, 1.25 body lift, mml, 0.75 leveling spacers, corner guards, flush brake lights and flush reverse lights, new door straps, windstopper (surprise in store with this one!), finish tailgate, ivault radio combo, window nets, dye roll bar padding, paint dash?, change flextube intake to aluminum, and of course tube fenders up front, lower control arms.
Looking forward to getting started!

I decided to paint the dash black and dye the roll bar padding black. I read a few threads to figure out the best way to prep the dash. The prep work took a while, but will be worth it in the end.
I really like the roll bar without padding. I'll wait and see how the dye looks before I decide if I'm putting the padding back on.

I will post pictures of the final product tomorrow or Monday. Dash looks sharp!

Nice jeep.

Did you notice any increase in mpg when you added the hummer intake?
