I didn't have an issue with mine. I had my exhaust put on in prob 30 minutes. Have you tried calling the customer help thru Banks yet? They were helpful for me when I was putting the headers on.

I had no issues installing on my '03 with installation, it rattled against my aftermarket hitch mounts when hung from the factory tailpipe mounts, but that was remedied in 2 minutes with a pipe in the end and a lil push to decrease the radius of the final bend. I don't blame Banks for that at all.

Well on the muffler its labeled "inlet" and im presumed it goes over the pipe on the cat, but both are exactly the same size so i have no clue

The only issue I've had with it is that my tip is a pain in the neck to keep shinny and polished. Anyone else have that issue?

On my '03, the inlet side of the muffler bolts to the cat and the outlet side has a band clamp. And once the shiny tip got smashed and straightened with a pair of channel locks, a good coat of mud protects it.
