Bad voltage regulator?

I have a 2001 Wrangler which I just replaced the battery and the alternator. I stopped by Autozone and got a load test and they said that the voltage regulator failed.

The guy who did it said that I just got a bad alternator and have to replace it again. Is that the case?

Any help is appreciated.

The TJ's voltage regulator is inside the PCM (engine computer), it isn't in the alternator.
