Axle Question (D30)

I'm looking at an HP d30 with 4.56, 30 spline chromos and an ARB. Could I swap these parts into a LP TJ D30 with 4.10 gears? Basically what I'm asking is if the locker is the same for the LP as it is for the HP. Seems like a silly thing to do, I know, but I'm not sure if I can afford to get my 8.8 re-geared to match. Also, could I swap the carrier and shafts from the low pinion TJ axle and put them in the high pinion XJ axle? I could sell that and get some cash back potentially.

Another Question, is $700 (CAD) a good deal for an HP d30 with 30 spline shafts, ARB and 4.56 gears? It has the vacuum disconnect eliminator...will these shafts still work in a TJ housing?

as long as everything is good on the axle i would pay that. yes, again everything but the r/p will swap over. if it has 30 spline outers you will need new unit bearings.

Can't I just use the existing unit bearings in the axle, in the TJ housing?

I'm pretty sure it's a complete assembly with knuckles and brakes.

You do know if you swap the ARB over to your LP30 you will have to set up the gears again...

The ARB will change the backlash/pinion depth?
