ax15 to nv3550

i have a 1999 tj and it has an ax15 in it and 2nd and reverse are going out and i got my tax money back so i am ready to either put a new ax15 in it or swap an nv3550 in it wich is what i want to try to do i have heard that it is possible but since i am going to be doing this i would rather know for sure before i ripp my tranny and the nv3550 not work.

i know that i will need an external slave cyllinder
i am going to be putting in a beefier clutch at the same time i need a good suggestion on as to wich brand and clutch will work good with 33 inch tires,

if i am missing anything please let me know this is my daily driver

Stay with what you got. Ax15s are pretty easy to find and are IMO just as good as the other one.

X2 on this. Rebuild it and go with a sach's clutch, good to go for a long time.

x3. no gains by swapping in a nv3550. the standard luk clutch is what you want and can be readily found for around 100 bucks on ebay or at Pep Boys
