Auxiliary Tray/Double Battery?

I was curious if anyone knows what the auxiliary tray on the drivers side is originally for? It has threaded nuts attached to it but doesn't look as though a battery will fit there (because of the brake master cylinder). I just can't imagine what it is for.

Me too. I have been threatening to get rid of all the junk there. I hate ABS, but to completely get rid of it, wow. Major pain in the ***, primarily running almost all new lines and then putting in a new proportioning valve. Not hard just a pain...

i take it then that a 2nd battery won't fit there at all? Just curious, haven't really looked at it. I remember that the sales guy at the stealership made a stink out of having a 2nd battery tray...

You are correct a second battery won't fit there because of the brake master cylinder... The "stealership"... Thats awesome..

I drive on the right side, what's wrong with you?

Be very careful with the wife mod. Uninstallation can be extremely expensive. Wife mods have been known to take the Jeep and all other mods during the uninstall process. Also, make sure you service your wife mod properly as often as humanly possible. Wife mods not properly serviced may malfunction or uninstall themselves at any time.
