Is the AutoZone super turbo muffler worth the savings

AutoZone makes a super turbo muffler and I can get one of these from a buddy for just a few bucks. My present muffler has a bad case of cancer . Before I go to the trouble of installing this thing I'd like to know if anybody here has had any experience with one of these cheaper mufflers. How do they sound? Are they a piece of junk like most things I've bought from AutoZone? Is it even worth a few bucks? Let me have your 2 cents worth. Thanks a bunch!!

I bought the dynomax super turbo muffler from auto zone after they told me it sounds nice. after welding it on, i cut the piece of -=-=-=-= off, returned it half welded to them and told them they better take it or i will just leave it in the middle of the store. It sounds like -=-=-=-=, very weak. Dont get it. After that I went with a flowmaster and loved it.

After a lot of research and Jeepers opinions, I just spent the extra for a flowmaster 40 series. I love everytime I crank my jeep and drive in front of Lowes... Not too loud, just a little rumble.

My suggestion is if money is a really big issue, try the muffler out and with your hookup you are only out a couple bucks if you don't like it. However, you get what you pay for. And for my money, I recommend the flowmaster.

I have the dynomax superturbo...was cheap with the rebates last month. It is pretty quiet...louder than stock...little bit of a burble.
