Auto Transmission Rough Shifts ! Advice needed!

I bought a TJ this week and have driven about 200 miles on it. So far I have had 1 really rough shift in a parking lot pulling into a parking space and another 2 or three noticeable rough shifts while driving. That first rough shift moved me in the seat and was audible to the point where my wife stared at me as if we would have to walk home. With 114K on the odometer and having no clue what the PO did or did not do for this jeep I'm afraid. I've got a 30 day warranty on it and it's been less than a week. The car dealer I bought it from was smaller and I don't trust them to check on it . I have no idea where my brain should be when it comes to concern. 42rle's have good reviews bad reviews flush them change the oil and filter, I don't know. I've got the month warranty clock ticking before this becomes my financial concern and not the dealers. I just want to know what the issue might be and what steps I should immediately take. First jeep purchased and I want it to last.

It probably a host of many things, I would tame it to a ASE mech and get documentation of what is wrong.
I had transmission, tourqe converter and PCM replaced, trust me it's expensive but I was under warranty.
All in all I would have been out $3600

Take it back ASAP and make them fix it until it's right. Most likely they send it somewhere else anyway.Fluid and filter change would be first up.

This^^^

Do not touch it yourself. As soon as you do you it's your problem. Find out what the laws are in your area. I would make them fix it or offer a full refund.

I need your def of rough shift. I cant even see a shift puling into a parking spot - 1-2 occurs around 7MPH - that's rolling pretty fast to be cranking into a spot!
if the engine suddenly sped up and then engaged hard - that's not a rough shift. that's slipping. Take it for an inspect at a good mechanic.
