Auto trans problems and gearing ?????

Hey guys just got a 99 tj 6 cyl auto has 33s and stock gears.
My first ? Is when taking off the trans doesn't seem to know what gear it wants to be in and is constantly shifting up and down until I get up to 20-30 mph then it's ok. If I shift it my self it's great, is this because I need to regear or some other issue??

Secondly I've tried reading other post in this but seems everyone has a different opinion do here goes.. What gears do I need to install if I plan on going to 35s when these tires wear out?

Thanks for the help

4.11 for the 33's and I'd go 4.56 for 35's. You likely have 3.07 now which is to low for 33's making the transmission work harder. But, when was the last time the filter and ALL the ATF in the transmission was replaced? That could also be part of your problem.

Ya I do have 3.07s so that's not good. U think go ahead and do 4.56s since I have 35s in my future.
