Yeah, I originally thought the whole banter between you guys was pretty funny. But honestly, Sean to start the thread at PBB talking about how the other rigs in the contest were "less capable" (not verbatim, but the essence of the statement), then get mad at Poo because he jokingly questioned your manhood?

I don't know either of you personally, but come on, put on your big-boy pants and play along. This was supposed to be fun.

Hold on..
I said I was asking for the vote then I said "OR vote for Jason's rig, the most capable of the group", that is a fact. Also, my statement was not meant to take away from any of the other rigs.
I must apologize if I didn't word that correctly, hope it's clear now.

Let me make this perfectly clear.
My post on Pirate was a reaction to the threads (as stated in post 110) that were going on other boards. The right thing to do, NO.
It is and was all in fun, and still is. When it took a turn that came across more as a personal attack, that is where I had enough. Not because if hurts my feelings in anyway, but because it was just to much.

Lastly, Scott is a good guy and has PM'ed me about this... it's all good.
I just feel that he wants this a lot more than I do. To me, it's a cool opportunity... that's it.
Will, sorry it got a little ugly here and for my part in it. I personally feel both rigs should be DQ'ed.

I hate to say it, but my first thought was that both rigs should be disqualified as Sean said. I'm not a mod or a judge, but that's what I call "fair" I guess.

Good luck to whoever wins!

For my part I'd like to go on record here about a couple of things. Neither Sean nor I went off the reservation first...look at the timeline...it was the Colorado thread. Everything else was a reaction to that one. You will also notice in my posts that I asked for people to come here and vote - yes I wanted their vote but I made it clear that they should vote for their favorite rig. I would venture that I got others as many votes as I did myself. I would also like to point out that this all started well after Sean and I pulled well out in the lead - at that point it was between Sean and I - and all that nonsense on Pirate only affected the outcome between us. I thought I was being obviously outrageous and funny and that nobody would take the Pirate posts seriously - and still hope nobody doesn't. All in fun. I do not believe any rules were violated, but if you want to DQ us to preserve the integrity of the contest, I have no problem with that whatsoever. Hopefully things are good between Sean and I - we've met and wheeled in real life and he's a good dude and I would love to hang out with him again in the future. For my part, I was having fun - no personal attacks were intended and I thought I was being blatantly silly about it so that no umbrage would be taken. It's a lesson to everyone that no matter how careful you are, it is difficult to convey proper feeling, emotion, humor, and intent in a written format because it is all dependent on the state and experience of the reader - because it is very difficult to interject voice tones and nuances that you would verbally and visually. Anyhow - whatever you all think is best is fine by me - I can always enter another month - I just hope that my name and reputation are not tarnished by this bit of drama. I don't think either of us would like a win with a dirty asterisk next to our names. Happy trails!

neither of you will be disqualified. its unfortunate that it happened, but no rules from this month were broken. it would be tyrannical of me to do otherwise.

Personally I don't see any reason to disqualify either -sean- or Poobah.
What happened was blown way out of proportion and I don't see why anyone should get upset over it.

My vote is the contest stays as is. If people don't want -sean- or Poobah to win, they better get some votes for someone else.

Ok guys let's settle down, no major harm done and going to other forums to get votes for various contests is nothing new. I don't see any seriously bad blood between Sean and Poobah, just some good competitive spirit. Heck I've gone to other forums to help friends get votes for various contests.

Limiting going to other forums for votes is up for discussion for the contest management for next month's contest but for now, let's just see who wins. There are some awesome rigs in this month's contest, for sure. I'm not even sure I'll be able to narrow my choice down to just one.

If they settled it amongst themselves, then fine. If it was in fact just screwing around then whatever. There was like a 30 point spread before it happened, so as long as the rest of the contestants don't care, I say let it ride. But I think it should be up to the other contestants. No asterisks. Let the other contestants decide if it was fair or not. That's my take.

"LCOG" isn't cheap and it certainly isn't easy. If you think so, you are doing it wrong. If you aren't willing to put in the effort, don't label your build "LCOG". You are just a cheap ******bag.

I think both should just sign over their pink-slips to me

But then again, that's just what I'm thinking...
