Good pics. The inner fenders look so much better without the gap there.

MetalCloak, considering how common a 1" (or 1.25") body lift is around here, for tire clearance, height, and/or making room for a tummy tuck, you may want to consider producing an inner fender with that in mind, meaning a user can choose whether they have one when ordering (perhaps for an extra fee for the extra material?) and would then have the option later on of ordering replacements to more thoroughly cover the gap.

Got mine finished yesterday afternoon... Still have the rockers to install, but at least the fenders are done. I had the same issue with the driver's side parts; I ended up just bending them a lot and using two mounting points on the vacuum center instead of 2. PITA, but well worth it!

I ordered the parts bare steel, and ended up painting my fender well to match...

I got the extended wheel well rear flares... As you can see, I haven't trimmed my tub yet. This should show you how much you'll have to trim off though; a bit more specific than the diagram on the site.

I'm extremely satisfied with these products. I haven't painted the rocker guards yet (going to start in a few minutes), but they look great as well. I'll try to get those posted up after I install them Thursday or Friday.

Like I stated in the other metalcloak thread.... I agree..... Options. Imagine, an actual tube fender manufacturer w/ options? Crazy concept I realize.
$2 says they deliver on yours & my ideas.

I was already pretty confident that I was going to buy these fenders but this thread just sealed the deal for me. Taking the time to show the process of manufacture and even the install is priceless for someone like myself. I'm sold. Thank you.

I think you are right. It seems like it would be easy to have different size inner fenders on hand as only one dimension would have to be changed. The logistical headaches would probably be more of a consideration than the production costs, and Metal Cloak doesn't seem like the kind of company that would be unwilling to take on a little extra headache load if it improves customer or potential customer satisfaction.

these pics are twisting my arm even more........

i like the idea of having the option of choosing a larger inner fender well if you have a 1 or 1.25 BL to cover that gap at the shock mount and spring......

Really looks good with the inner fender painted black!!

Good write up Fire Kid...they look great...I'm getting pumped to get mine on...just waiting for my wheels to come in for my ZJ (put a 4 inch lift on it, have 32 inch tires but waiting on the procomp wheels that have been on back ordered...can't drive it until the new tires/wheels are on because of alignment issues)...don't want to have both Jeeps out of commission at the same time....the reason I have 2 Jeeps is so I can always go get parts for the one that is being worked on.

My fenders don't have the M on them....hmmm...should be a discount coming my way.

Looking forward to see what the new turn signals look like...wasn't crazy about the first generation....I have a set of JK lights to put in my grill but waiting to see what the new ones look like.

denrophobe
what size flares are those?
They look great on your rig

Thanks! They're the 4" ones... I figured the wider ones would just look silly on my Jeep. Actually I just ordered a set of JK lights for my grille today, was going to install tomorrow... Now I'll have to see what this new generation of lights looks like!

Hmmm...the lights have shipped to me today, apparently due in next Monday. Seems like they'll be a fairly straight-forward install. Of course, I'll post pics because it definitely did happen.

don't mean to walk over M.C., but when you get the lights in, maybe there's a chance you can trim the emblem out and just make the light hole a square? was it you that said you weren't crazy about it?
