Clearly the quality is top notch, you've got the best equipment and great people. The welds and craftsmanship are beautiful.

Do you use a 2-stage powder-coat process? 1st stage being a zinc rich base coat and 2nd stage being color? Where zinc acts as a sacrificial anode to rust.

Its just not my style at all. The fenders look like ears on a Disney cartoon character.

LOL on last part. I'm actually all about the style.
But yea, U04, I believe I've read it is a 2 stage powder coat process that they use however not sure what those stages consist of.

I want these so bad!!
I'm gonna start saving slowly, maybe in a year or two they'll be on my jeep.
Like other users have said, these are by far the best looking tube fenders out there.

The next and final chapter from us about the process... future installments will be based on FireKite's experience.

-----------

Shipping

Currently the fenders and flares are assembled prior to shipping. This is an extra step of quality control here at MetalCloak to ensure the products fit EXACTLY as intended. Precision engineering is our goal.

The Flare is Bolted to the Fender

The assembled product is hand wrapped in micro foam, then in bubble wrap, to protect against any damage in shipping.

Close-Up of Micro-Foam wrap

Bubble Wrapped

When a fender and flare is shipped, two boxes are used, each one containing 1 fender, 1 flare, and 1 battery tray. In addition, one of the boxes will have a smaller box with installation hardware and free decals.

The hardware kit contains a tube of Silver Anti-Seize

We also throw in a few decals

The shipment is packed with additional micro foam and bubble wrap for safe transit and less of a mess when opened. No peanuts or hard spray foam here!

Packing a shipment

We ship across the country and now around the world.

Boxes lined up and ready to go via UPS Ground.

And yes, FireKite's order is in two of those boxes!

To Be Continued... Up Next: FireKite's Review

Hey, I wonder if those other two boxes of powder coated beauties are the two headed just a little further east to Houston? Since UPS says mine will be here Friday I was going to start pulling the fenders off tonight. Instead, I got side tracked by the nice weather, pulled the top and doors off and drove the Jeep around. Oh well, maybe tomorrow.

This is it! Today is the day! Now is the time to make a difference! It only takes a couple minutes to send a message to your congressional representative and any others urging them to leave Moab alone.

Just click here and follow the AMA's instructions:

American Motorcyclist Association - Congress to hold hearing on closing 9 million acres in Utah

If you don't act, you don't get to complain when the Moab Easter Jeep Safari or any other OHV event in the area is but a distant memory.

Dude, we get it. Enough with the plugs. Youve got like 30 threads floating in the forum. Youre borderline spamming everyone now.

Back on topic:

Fenders arrived today at the office. I need to get them home and unbox them. I'm planning on getting together tomorrow afternoon with a few friends and starting the process.
