I run a safari snorkel on my TJ and it looks like the access panel is about in the correct place for the snorkel on the passenger side. Does anyone have experience with running a snorkel with these fenders?

Right out of the box, the snorkels will not work directly with our fenders. We are currently working on possible mods that will allow you to mount the snorkel through the stainless steel access panel on the side of the fender. We will have that mod posted on our website and the forums when completed.

So what is next for metalcloak? A nice rear bumper I hope? Maybe a sick cage? some skid plates? suspension?

if you need a tester for anything, I would be HAPPY to work with you guys again!

2009 was great and 2010 brings all kinds of new possibilities... we'll just have to wait and see what Jeepineer is inspired to do!

Happy New Year Everyone!

TRULY BOLT-IN FULL CAGE!!! With frame tie-ins. Probably cost prohibitive, but just dreaming.

Also, if your engineer is up to it, find a way to put either removable or sliding side windows on the TJ and LJ hard tops. Pretty sure that's an untapped market. I'd love to have a hard top with sunroof and removable side windows. Almost like a Safari top without the flapping.

Great thread. I've been interested in the metal cloak system for some time. Just need to spend the money to get it.

Couple questions while I'm thinking about it. Any plans to make a side step like you have for the TJ with the single bar for the LJ? Also the pics of your white rubicon show a front full hoop attached to the MC bumper and appears to be bolt on. Any chance of that making it to production? Would love to see a matching rear bumper with tire swing out option as well.

Thanks for the Q's!

We do have the Rocker Rail for the LJ. Look for it to be on the website later this week.

As for the hoop on the white TJ. That was our original hoop for the 1st Generation MetalCloak bumper. After many modifications, v2.0 of our bumper does not have that specific option, though we will be coming out with a hoop guard in the near future.

And expect to see a rear bumper and tire carrier by the middle of 2010.

Just in time for my birthday

Personally, I would like to see a bumper with built in round backup lights....any chance of that?
