A great deal of the under hood components are mounted on the opposite side. And I am assuming the left inner fender is clearanced for the steering shaft. Things are a lot different than you would initially consider. Trust me, I keep finding out the hard way!

Be very careful with the wife mod. Uninstallation can be extremely expensive. Wife mods have been known to take the Jeep and all other mods during the uninstall process. Also, make sure you service your wife mod properly as often as humanly possible. Wife mods not properly serviced may malfuction or uninstall themselves at any time.

No, I'm pretty sure the inners don't encroach enough to mess with the steering shaft.

Like I said, just drill the holes differently. Or talk to Matson to see if you can get them to produce a set with the holes drilled mirrored (opposite sides).

Sent you a PM, but our driver and passenger fenders and inner fender wells are virtually identical. If the assumption is that a RHD is a flipped version of a LHD, then there will be no problem mounting our system.

But send us some under the hood pics so we can look at it and verify. We definitely don't want to let that be a barrier to your sporting MetalCloak!

Nice. What do you think of the install, now that you've got them on?

Yes. Talking to Doug a stock suspension TJ can fit 35" tires with the fenders.

Absolutely!

We have 37's on our TJ with a 3" lift and as Josh pointed out, you can put 35s on a stock TJ.

So, with a 4" lift, your 36's will have plenty of room.

Note that you should really be thinking about your running gear, though, if you're going to that large a tire. In other words, make sure your axles (including shafts, housings, tubes, ring gears, etc) can handle it, your gear ratio is appropriate, as well as your brakes and steering being up to the task. My D30 and S35 on 4.88's (6-speed) have held up great so far--knock on wood--with 35's, but I'm not sure whether I'd trust them with 37's, and definitely not with anything larger. On the other hand, if you're trailering your rig to wheel, you always have the option of wheeling it till it breaks (though the inconvenience to yourself and especially to everyone else is something to be seriously considered).

With the grinder and saw in the picture I figured you had to cut your rockers? Was it difficult to cut with the saw? I was thinking about using the plasma. But don't want to warp or mess the body up with the heat. I think I might use the cut off wheel on the grinder. I was gonna take pics but remembered you had pics. No sense me putting up pics too. Mine would look just like yours the way it sits now with out the outer fenders on.

Of course, you could just sell your current rockers and order our Rocker Rails... designed to integrate perfectly and become one solid body armor system!

Halfway through the install and thought I'd show some clearance pics. It was hard to hold the tape and camera at the same time so in the pic of the new fender I was a little off-center. You can still tell the difference.

The install is going very well. I've had some other small projects to take care of too

The driver's side should be much quicker since I know what's involved now. Wiring the new lights was a lot easier than I thought too.

I'll post more pics when I'm done. Happy Thanksgiving!
