Anyone use a "Tuff Designs" rear bumper/tire carrier?

Here's the link: http://www.tuffdesigns.com/TireCarrier.html

I like the design, price, basket, Hi-Lift carrier, but I've never seen anyone using this rear bumper.

Thanks!

I bought the top part and used it to make my own tire carrier. pics linked in the sig. their hinge is not very good IMHO. its not even a hinge really. Its just a 1.5" solid rod that has been turned down 0.100" on a lathe. The matting piece is just some thick walled tube faced on the inside with a boring bar on the lathe. No bearings, no stub shaft. Its strong, but I'd much rather have a bearing/spindle style hinge for smoother operation.

The latch design is worthless too. Just a screw you need to thread in and out every time. I threw that idea in the trash and made my own latch. I don't have the rack on top, and I don't think I'd want to...it would flex quite a bit. I'm not a big fan of how much mine flexes with a 31" on it - and I added gussets to his design. Its not much flex, but maybe I'm just real picky.

I appreciate the input. That's what I was looking for.

I have the Warn rear bumper now, but I dislike the fact that I have to buy add ons from differnet places for it to meet my needs. Hi-Lift, basket, gerry cans (maybe), etc.

Got any links to these different company's? I also have the WARN and love it, but I would like to add a few things to it.

I like the looks of it and definitely the price. Sounds like something that has a few fixable problems, with the right tools and equipment(which I have).

I ordered the hi-lift carrier from durango4x4. It's supposed to arrive today. Like I said, I'd rather have something integrated, but I'll try this out.

A variety of baskets are available. I still haven't decided if I want one and if so, which one.
