Anyone run the Fumoto Valve?
Looking to buy one of these with the nipple to make oil changes more pleasant. Does anyone have one with a Skidrow oil skid?
How dfo you like it? And do any recent purchasers have a discount code they'd like to share? ![]()

I had one... took it off because I'm too impatient for the oil to drain so slow... I like to take that bolt off the pan and watch it pour out in 60 seconds rather than 20 minutes... just my .02.

Fram makes a Sure Drain that is less than half the price of the Fumoto Valve. I've used them on all my vehicles for several years now and I'm pleased with them.

But the Fram one drains S......................L.......................... O........................W.......................l ................Y. The Fumoto does NOT take 20 minutes to drain completely, more like 3-4. And the last 2-3 are just a light trickly and drips. I've had mine a while, and really like it. Works just fine with the Skid Row. |

What about the Jeep Medic skid? I've been planning on picking up the skid and either the Fram or the Fumoto. I guess I'm just wondering if there is any interference issues with the skid? Also, the best place to purchase either valve (and skid I guess
)? |

I have a new one in a bag I will sell for half the cost of Fumoto sells for. I bought it when I had a Skid Row, switched to a smaller skid and no longer needed it. PM me if interested.

I have the drain valve. No complaints over here. I really like it. I'm usually never in a rush when I change my oil so I don't mind if it takes a little bit more time to drain.
Have a good one, Justin |

If you run an engine skid and do not like cleaning up oil, them the FV is a great option. Have it and love it.

Do you slow drainers remove the oil cap while draining? I just saw that recommendation on the fumoto website.

Removing the cap was something I always did even before using the Fram Sure Drain. Part of it was to allow it to drain better. But a bigger part of it was the lesson taught to me when young that you never remove a drain plug before you remove the filler plug or you could find yourself in trouble when you have drained the fluid and can't replace it because the fill plug won't come out. |

I have one and I'm ready to remove it as it just makes draining the oil too slow. I changed my oil Sunday and started the draining process, then got my oil out of the case, filter filled & ready, filter wrench out, got something to drink, changed the filter, and the oil STILL wasn't through draining so I could start the filling process. It just slows the oil draining process too much for me, I'm removing the Fumoto valve the next time I change the oil.
