How about an update on how its holding up, and what you think of how it performs now that you have had it for 3 years or so like this.

I should have done that centering deal. just didnt occur to me at the time but its so simple. basically you need a second long side axle from another 8.8 and you measure cut and sleeve the tube making both sides equal length. i just spent 4 hours powerwashing the turd as prep for the rear mid arm project. unfortunately my finacial situation doent allow for high end components in my control arms at this point..the project wasnt planned, I sheared both upper control arm brackets off the frame last saturday so i placed an order for some prefab link mounts and im making the truss from scratch, also my control arms are being made from a combo ok jk stock arms, leftover rustys lca's with center threaded swivel design and spare tubing laying around..the temp links will be decent enough that i can wheel it till i can build nicer units. outboarding the shocks out back and extending the front pockets will come later too... all these pics on this thread are a great help.

Still not Jeeping.
But I did pick up a HP44 with Chevy outers, high steer arms, 5.13 gears and Detroit.
So it looks like I have some work to do on the Jeep. Its been close to four years since my last round of major mods.

Its been awhile since my last post.
Im currently swapping the AX15 for an AW4 transmission. Got a great deal on the tranny and im tired of shifting.

I used STU'S write up and as always right on. (His write up makes it look easy.)
Its one heck of a lot of work.
