subscribed! Im at work so i cant see pics... but im getting ready to do exactly what youve done! I have 2.5 coils 1in bl/mml and will be going to 35s... hp30 and 8.8, i currently have RE monotubes for 3.5-4.5 lift so i plan on relocating them with ford shock towers too.

quick questions. what is the width of the recentered 8.8? ive been thinking about doing this too but was worried id be a lot wider than stock... not a big fan of that look...

TIA

I made the sleeve 2 7/8" long for the 8.8. 2 7/8" is the diff between the two axle shafts. I had about 5" side into both sides of the axle. So the total length of the sleeve was about 12 7/8". Hope you are following this.

This will make the 8.8 like 5/8" wider on both sides than the front axle not noticable IMO.

If you have a sleeve made, have the machine shop cut a 1/4 key way the length of it. This will slide over the weld seam inside of the axle tube. This will make sure the outer tube is properly lined up with the main axle.

I used Stu's numbers to start with then adjusted for the offset.

Looks like your still using the factory mounts at the axles, have you had any issues with them after some trail rides??

Nice build. Clean work.

cool build. I like relocating stuff like the shock mounts and whatnot. That seems like alot of flex.

Cool Mods. I am new to major mods and have a couple questions.
Any concerns running shocks mounted in single shear on the bottom like that?
It did not appear in one photo that the 8.8 differential was welded to the axle tubes with a low-hydrogen rod.(Maybe the picture angle just didn't show it)
Would a 4 link apply too much stress to the pressed in tubes?

Great job. I'm planning mid arms and rear ford mount. Got the shock mounts and frame mounts for the arms. Rokmen will build the arms when I call in the measurements. Bilstein 12" shocks are already on with Currie springs. Cool to see something similar.
